A rustic, nostalgia-inspired Persian food and beverage concept, curated with a modern California sensibility
HOMA
Take a seat at her table
Homa is a food and event concept created by Iranian-American chef Nima Jahromi. An homage to his madar joon (grandmother), the concept is inspired by the nostalgic aromas, all-day stews, and warmth emitting from her kitchen. Drawing upon a childhood split between California and Iran, Homa seeks to embody the heart and hospitality of Persian culture and cuisine with the vibrant, fresh influence of the Californian terroir.
CHEF | FOUNDER
Iranian-American Chef Nima Jahromi has worked in hospitality for over a decade in cities such as New York, Paris, San Francisco and Los Angeles. After years of consulting and leading the font-of-house at high-end restaurants, private membership clubs, eclectic wine bars, hotel restaurants, and popular events, he discovered his true calling via the art of preparing and sharing food.
The intermingling of cultures from a childhood split between Iran and California fuels every aspect of Homa’s concept—from food to aesthetic to hospitality. Jahromi’s vision is to share the unparalleled hospitality and nostalgic cuisine of the culture he grew up with, and transcend the stereotypes and exoticism associated with the Middle East.
